About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected and growing family law practice, is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who is looking to grow with a firm that values teamwork, professional development, and exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background supporting family law attorneys in all phases of litigation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a busy caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage family law cases from intake through resolution
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence
  • Assist attorneys with divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, legitimization, contempt, and modification matters
  • Coordinate and manage case calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Prepare and organize financial documents, exhibits, and trial notebooks
  • Electronically file pleadings and court documents in Georgia courts
  • Communicate regularly with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and third parties
  • Assist clients with gathering and organizing documents for discovery and case preparation
  • Maintain accurate case files and case management systems
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation and litigation strategy execution

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of family law paralegal experience
  • Strong knowledge of Georgia family law procedures and court systems
  • Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of family law litigation
  • Proficiency with electronic filing systems and legal case management software
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • High-asset divorce matters
  • Complex custody disputes
  • Discovery management and document review
  • Mediation and trial preparation
  • Financial affidavit preparation and analysis
  • Drafting settlement agreements, parenting plans, and final orders
